The Encyclopedia of Sexual Behavior - Albert Ellis and Albert Abarbanel
£95
New York, 1961.
A rare copy of the Encyclopedia of Sexual Behaviour, by Albert Ellis and Albert Abarbanel.
The encyclopedia is co-authored by Albert Ellis, who is generally considered to be the founder of cognitive-behavioral therapies, and one of the most influential psychotherapists in history. By the time this book was published, in the 60s, Ellis had come to be seen as one of the founders of the American sexual revolution. He was well known for his work as a sexologist and for his liberal humanistic, and controversial in some camps, opinions on human sexuality.
